RECENT EVENTS
During the 2019 San Antonio Mayoral Election, Mētú sent out a petition that raised awareness of Candidate Brockhouse’s record of domestic abuse.
Brockhouse’s history includes multiple reports of domestic abuse 911 calls by both a former and his current wife. Candidate Brockhouse tried to obscure his record and demanded that the reports not be mentioned as one of the terms of a high profile mayoral debate. Brockhouse, a sitting City Councilman, had been called out on both sexism and racism by his female City Council colleagues.
On June 8, 2019, Brockhouse lost the election. Thank you to all who signed the petition and helped keep domestic abuse out of office.
